So yeah, all three times I was given a local to numb up my knee first, then he went ahead and stuck in the needle to drain it, no big deal except for the one time the local didn't quite penetrate deep enough, but I'm sure that didn't even come close to what you... ... I fell on 2/22...and I have a lot of the same problems you do...I had an MRI last night...and will have to wait to hear from my family Dr. to see what is up with the knee.. Have you tried ice?? That helps sometimes...relieves some of the swelling. Sage (13 replies)

... Thank you for your input. We saw the Dr. yesterday. Swelling is down almost to nothing. Pain is controled. We saw the cartliage in photos that had broken off. It is not a MPLF injury.He will have to keep the brace on,but he can take showers if up to it. Bad night. ... (3 replies)

... Well, I had my MRI today and that went well. I did eventually go to A&E for the simple reason, after 4 trips to the Doctors and almost two months of pain, I was getting no where. It's a crying shame I have to use the A & E department like this, but if my GP had given me the care I needed, I wouldn't have to. Instead im told to 'soldier on' for a month and see what happens?! ... (13 replies)
