... I had a hip bursectomy with IT band lengthening three days ago and I'm doing great so far. I would suggest that when you have the knee surgery, get cortisone shots in both hips while you are under. The shots for the bursitis don't go into the joint so they aren't in a spot that can harm the joint. ... (6 replies)
