... hi many thanks for replying my pattela was fine untill after the tkr the dr who did the op suggested cutting off the side of the pattela puting a button under neath and manipulating the tendons and muscels to give me more bend he refered me to prof, dehan as he had only ever seen 2 otheres with a simular problem this i saw him yesterdY and he is supposed to be one of the best... ... I used to live in Morristown. My orthopaedist is recommending lateral patellofemoral release surgery. I am shocked - I didn't expect this but I guess this may be for the best. I have thinning cartilage and a kneecap sliding to one side. Oh well, I think I will go for it. Scared though. (17 replies)
