One thing to check on is to find out if you will be on an ortho ward where they just deal with hip and knees or if you will be with the general hospital population. ... Jason, I recently had arthroscopic surgery on my knee for 2 meniscal tears. The surgeon said I also had damaged cartilage behind my knee and he cleaned it up while he was in there. He gave me pictures of the inside of my knee, and the cartilage looked very frayed. ... (3 replies)
