There are so many "studies" and so many doctors that claim this and that. So what is risky oral sex?

It seems to be the belief of some that the risk is in the voulme and number of exposures.

Some believe that you MAY be able to be exposed to hiv once and it won't do anything, but infact it is repeat exposures that cause one to become positive.

Also, people seem to think that if you are exposed to a very small amount of the virus, you are still ok. Like from sweat and saliva, hiv still exists, but in a very small amount, so it won't do anything. Another factor is the positive persons viral load. If it is very high, the risk becomes greater.

This then applies for pre-ejaculate and vaginal secretions during oral sex.

Beyond the other std's - let's just focus on hiv. Cunnilingus (oral-vaginal) I might think is pretty risky because the woman can be menstruating. With fellatio (oral-penile) uness the man has cuts on his penis - and you don't swallow, it might be a lesser risk. Yes, no?

I've heard report after report claiming that there were studies done on couples where the man was positive and his partner was negative. They engaged in oral sex and even swallowed the semen of the positive party. It was conducted over many years and only one man was found to have contracted hiv - it was later found out that his partner confessed to cheating and engaged in unprotected anal sex.

So,should someone worry if pre-ejaculate or vaginal secretions is swallowed or in the mouth?

Dose anyone know a person that swears they contracted hiv through oral sex only?

Out of the people I know who are positive, none of them can pinpoint how, when or who they contracted the virus from?
