... A bend over back is usually the sign that you have osteporosis-- low calcium in your system. This condidition I don't think has anything to do with IBS-- but posture can affect your BMs. (2 replies)
... Are you referring to bachaches or posture? I have found that certain postures definitely contribute to stirring gas up. I learned, through a naturopathic therapist, that certain sitting positions on the toilet as well as bending in certain ways CAN help get things moving so it would make sense (somewhat) that our general posture can effect the activity of the gut. ... As far as I could remember I have always been careful not to trigger IBS-D as much as I can. But I am finding my posture worsening everyday on my back. Having a hunchback makes me feel safe and comfortable, and my back hurts when I stay straight up, which I feel it may trigger my IBS........ am I the only one? (2 replies)
