... Have they tested you for any other autoimmune conditions? Some healthy people have raised ANAs but I wouldn't dismiss such a high ANA. As you probably know, normal is less than 1:40. Lots of autoimmune conditions can raise your ANA, and often specific patterns are limited to certain kinds of conditions. I'm fairly certain it is not common to have lupus with a speckled... ... If your IgG and IgM are 2 standard deviations below normal range (whatever your labs range is), they may be looking at Common Variable Immune Deficiency or Hypogammaglobulenemia. ... It depends on the lab as to what the "normal" parameters are. By my lab, a 1:40 titer is normal. Above that (the next ratio is 1:80, then 1:160, 1:320, etc) is considered high. The IgM is considered a risk for Anti-Phospholipid Antibodies. My ANA has never been over 1:320 in a speckled pattern, and my IgM is barely elevated, but I've been diagnosed with both lupus and APS.... (3 replies)
