That's me! DD is 9 1/2 months and I still have about 15 lbs that won't come off. I don't have the time or the energy to exercise but I feel like I'm always on the go (not usually forgetting to eat meals, but not snacking much in between). I took a mommy and me fitness class at Gymboree when DD wasn't mobile, but the problem was that the class was only once a week with light yoga exercises, that didn't help much. With my first, I was 22 and lost the weight and fit right back into my old clothes within a couple of months without trying. This time around I was 32 and had to buy all new clothes because I've determined that trying to fit back into my old tight jeans would be next to impossible. I can't even pull them over my thighs, let alone my butt and button them at my waist. I'm a little concerned with the weight, but moreso with the extra flab on my stomach, thighs and butt (I gained all over). I feel so fat and ugly. We, too, are planning another pregnancy soon and I am concerned with the additional weight that I haven't lost from this one. I have back problems, thanks to this last pregnancy, so sit-ups are out of the question for me. I have been debating about joining a gym and actually had a consultation at Curves, but honestly, I have a baby now which makes it so much harder to find a sitter I trust and go to the gym 3 times a week. I am too tired and want to spend time with DH when he gets home from work and mornings are too crazy with trying to get my 11-year-old off to school and DH off to work. How do other moms do it?
I gained 70 lbs during the pregnancy...currently 4 months post-partum. I am bummed mostly because I've learned the breastfeeding really does not "melt" off the weight as I was lead to believe.

I am doing pretty well though...24 of the 70 was baby/fluid/crud which dropped off the first 2 weeks after giving birth. I've lost 14 pounds of fat I have 32 lbs to lose to be back to my original weight. It feels good to say I'm past the halfway mark.

I have been walking on the treadmill 3x/week since 6 weeks PP. I have tried to cut calories, but I HATE counting those. What helped me the most is time. I was still having some of my pregnancy cravings until about 12 weeks PP...which was grease and sugar. Then, my body finally decided it was done eating crap. Now, I'm back to my normal non-pregnant foods and I started noticing weight loss a little faster. I still have to work at it, but I will get there.

I weighed 125 lbs for something like 13 years before I got pregnant...didn't fluctuate more than a few lbs from that. It's very hard to accept this fat on me. I'm wearing a pair of maternity jeans still...but they don't have the panels, so I can pass them off as regular jeans...they are super stretchy and low-rise. I want nothing more than to get out of these jeans and back into my old clothes. I'm getting there. I'm pretty strong-willed, so I will be back to my old clothes. I'm giving myself until June 1 to lose the remaining 32 lbs.

My stomach is going to bounce back to normal, and I made it through without stretch marks (thankgodthankgodthankgod) that's another motivator for me to get back into my's my a$$ and hips that I'm worried about.
