You are going to the gym for a couple of hours, not leaving your four-week old for an extended weekend in Vegas.
LOL!!!! We are going to Las Vegas for a week...it's not until September and Ava will be 1 year then, but I'm already fretting over it. Just had to throw that in.

Anyway...I agree that you should not worry. I have been going out by myself periodically since Ava was 2 weeks old, and she loves me more than anyone right now.

Your baby will not remember it, and just remember that babies cry. It's much harder to deal with the crying when you're not the one doing the soothing. Even at 4 months old, I still cringe when she is crying and my husband is the one soothing her. It takes everything I have to not take the baby away and do it myself.

Also...I'm not saying this will be the same with you...but our baby was a perfect quiet bundle of joy until she turned 4 weeks old. That's when the colic kicked in and she was a screaming mess for about 8 weeks.

You're doing great! Hang in there & don't let it bother you.
Gayle
