| Hi,
I did not use a Podee as I have never heard of it. I was scared to take my guy out in the beginning for all of the reasons that you are afraid. After sitting at home for a while, I went crazy and decided it was time (10 days or so). Guess what, it went fine. People were more than willing to put up with his fussiness. Also, with the appropriate placement of a receiving blanket, you can indeed nurse about anywhere. If you are bottle feeding, they will be able to eat wherever you want. You may also find that being out in and of itself can cure fussiness. I used to take Liam out to the park or even in the back yard during the witching hours (4-7 pm). It really worked. When I first went to town, I had my husband come with me but not do anything, just so I would know I could do it myself.
Good luck. Get out and breathe.
