Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Board Index

Both my kids were VERY big eaters. I never really was able to stick to a solid schedule when it came to their bottles b/c they at times wanted more. Both my kids are now 2 and 3 years old and very healthy. Their weight is perfect. Actually my youngest is so tiny for his age, but not underweight. They shovel the food in, but burn it off playing and being active. Once my kids were old enough to switch to regular food, we just made healthier choices rather than nuggets and fries for example. I have an older doctor who was a huge help. Although they recommend only a certain amount of food (formula, breast milk) each day, he did not want my kids crying b/c they were hungry, so I fed them. I would try and determine if your baby is upset b/c of hunger or could it be something else?? It took me awhile to figure out whether they were still hungry or tired.

Congrats on your new baby!
