... It sounds to me like it could be reflux and/or a milk protein allergy or maybe both. Have you tried switching to a soy formula like Isomil? Personally, if they're having you switch formulas initially anyway, I'd try that. Milk protein allergies are very common. My first DD had a milk protein allergy with similar symptoms as you're describing and the Isomil was a miracle worker... (24 replies)

... Do what you feel is best for your daughter, but I wanted to throw in my 2 cents in support of continuing to breast feed. Breast milk is a natural laxative so it should help to regulate your daughter's bowl movements. However, BF babies can go long periods between pooping because there isn't a lot of extra stuff in breast milk so it is mostly absorbed into their system. ... (24 replies)
