Too much milk?
Dec 27, 2007
My son is 11 months. He's been eating table food since a little after 9 months. About a month ago, we started giving him whole milk with breakfast instead of juice. He loved it from the start. He started refusing his formula about a week ago so we stopped giving it to him, he only drinks whole milk now. (This was my personal choice so please don't post about how I shouldn't have stopped giving him his formula 'til he was a year old.) Here's my [really weird] question... is there a such thing as too much milk? He's been drinking 2-3 (8oz) sippy cups a day of whole milk, today it was 3.5 sippy cups. He eats a well balanced diet of fruits, veggies, grains, and fats. Could he be getting too much fat from the milk? I joke with my husband that Aden won't ever have a broken bone 'cause he drinks so much milk, but I'm afraid he might be getting too much fat. What do you guys think?
