Infant Care (up to 18 months old) Board Index

I had to click on this thread because I loved the subject. I started to read your message and I immediately pulled out my daughters shot record book. Guess what... At 9 months old she was 29 1/2 inches long and 24 lbs. So i can relate. EVERYONE would be like "omg what are you feeding that child" this that and the other thing. She was 8 lbs 4 oz at birth...she was just all around big. She had litterally no neck at 3 months old. Now my 2nd daughter (who is now 5 months old) is completely opposite. Shes a peanut. But back to my oldest daughter. She is now 2 and a half weighing around 36 pounds and prob. about 39 inches long (if not bigger) Shes just a monster...Dont get upset. They grow into their size. Shes a 2 year old in 5T clothes. She just looks like shes 3 years older than she is. But just as smart at a 5 yr old. Dont listen to what people say. I used to get so upset because people would call her flat out FAT. Pfffttt Shes the most beautiful little girl.
My nephew is 4mos old, 20lbs, and very long. His mom is a pediatrician and doesn't overfeed him..... He is healthy and in 12month clothes....But I don't think he is fat.....just very healthy....parents are both tall...I call the extra stuff collateral.....or insurance in case he goes through a not so hungry period he at least has something to go on.......
