The first two weeks after birth my son had atleast one bowl movement a day. but for the last month or so we've been having poop issues. Hes been steadily gaining weight, was 9.1 at birth and is now well over 12 pounds. He eats 4ish ounces ever 3-4 hours. He is mostly formula fed (Enfamil). Due to lactation issues i've only been able to feed him one 4 ounce bottle of breast milk a day. He went from pooping everyday, to pooping every 2-4 days, to not pooping at all without being given a depositary. The last poop he had was for days ago. He doesn't seem in any pain or discomfort. We thought it was due to the formula we were feeding him. So we switched from enfamil a+ to nestle goodstart. Had the same issue and thought it could have been the iron. So we switched to a low iron formula. The first week after switching to the low iron he was pooping every day. Now were back to square one. No poop. I know i should see my doctor but has anyone else had this issue? Is it normal to just not poop very often?
