... s a bit of a personal one for me, since a relative of mine just had her daughter diagnosed with severe obesity and now she is on a strict diet... ... Have you discussed these concerns with her pediatrician? This is definitely something that should be dealt with by a doctor. Also, is she gaining weight properly? You say she has reflux, the refusal to eat could be due to that. If the esophagus is damaged, it's painful to eat, so they deal with it by refusing. Is she on medications for the reflux?
