... ey don't need to be sterilized. The nipples are a type that don't need to be sterilized, just washed with soap and water. It is really a personal choice. I do boil water for the formula, but I only supplement so it is not a big hassle for me. ... (10 replies)

... rom the fact that years ago the water wasn't always the cleanest so in order to ensure you baby wasn't digesting any bacteria it was recomended that bottles, and water that you mix the formula with be sterile. That's not necessary as far as i was told unless there is any question about the cleanliness of your water. ... (10 replies)

... sterilizing I just follow the instructions with the bottles and the formula. I boiled all the bottles and nipples the first time and now I just wash with soapy water and air dry. As far as I know too much heat can cause the nipples on a lot of bottles to deteriorate faster. ... (10 replies)
