Bad Diaper Rash
Sep 1, 2007
... Honestly, he's on the Nutramigen because he appears to not be able to tolerate protein. He hasn't been tested for an acutal allergy as the projectile vomiting was reason enough for his doctor to switch him. Anyway, if it doesn't go away soon I'll call his doctor. I get it healed to a certain point and then it just kind of stays like that, until I get lazy and throw a... (25 replies)
... so distracted with playing in the sand that he never told me that he had pooped in his swim diaper. When I took it off of him when we got back to the house, his rash was severe. It bled for days and the triple paste did nothing for him. The only thing that works on his rashes is Desitin OVERNIGHT. ... (10 replies)
... I actually contacted Enfamil regarding this question because my DD broke out in a rash with the powdered kind but could drink the ready-to-feed kind. They only difference they said is that the powdered kind has a preservative in it. As for convenience I think the powdered kind is probably better, except when you've got those great little 6 or 8 ounce jars that you can just... (3 replies)

... TICING changes within a couple days and see drastic change by about 2 weeks. With my son it was immediate. He was projectile vomiting, so as soon as we found a formula he could digest, that problem stopped. ... (5 replies)

Weird rash?

... Well, being that I went through this (well, not spreading) with DS, I am curious if you have been giving her anything other than BM or formula? I am sorry that I don't remember which you do...!! BUT if you are feedng her cereal, fruit or veggies and ANY are "new" (within the last week) that could be the cause. It sounds like hives, an allergic reaction to something. It could... (4 replies)

... Wow, too bad you missed out on all that sleep. Let's see, little man slept for...7 hours, woke up and moved into our bed 'cause he wanted cuddles and slept another 2, so 9 total. Then he chugged his 4.5oz bottle and, surprise surprise, has been screaming off and on since. Fortunately, he was quiet during my doctor's appt. So, ANYWAY...I'm glad he seems to like it and... ... Well, so much for thinking the Alimentum was better! LOL! It stinks! Well, only when mixed. BUT he took it well, and continues to. He only had one little spit up so far. He slept for 10 hours last night! If only I would have known, I would have slept all that time too, LOL! He was sleeping at 7pm and didn't get up to eat until 5am!! I was in shock! Must be another growth... (11 replies)

Bad Diaper Rash

... My guy has gotten worse. I am seriously thinking that if it doesn't look somewhat better in a couple days, I will try the cloth diaper thing. I hate to, just b/c he is my last baby and to have to spend all that money at one time is just so hard, BUT I want this gone! He has two new spots that are oozy and red (like you described). He is also on Nystatin and Bactroban cream,... (25 replies)
... So far the Triple Paste has not worked. I am going to try letting him go bare buns tomorrow for the majority of the day. I really think that will help. I am also going to try the baking soda! The Viva paper towels is a good idea too, as I cannot keep up with washing the baby washclothes! I think part of the problem is that I am not sticking with one thing before trying... (10 replies)
