I just figured they never slept very well and were always fussy. I was told to get the DVD, "The Happiest Baby on the Block" and in it, the doctor talks about how white noise helps babies sleep. ... My son (now 3) had reflux really bad from day 1. We tried everything you could think of. Finally his Dr. prescribed Prevacid (after the Zantac quit working on the 3rd day) and it was a lifesaver. Good luck, just remember they eventually outgrow it. (7 replies)

... I had a screamer for a few months after he came home (he spent the first 3 months in the hospital). We found Enfamil Gentlease. Man, has it been a lifesaver. The proteins are partially broken down for easier digestion. Also, if she is colicky, Hyland's makes a colic tablet (it is an herbal remedy). I used to put one or two in each bottle. They eased his tummy as well. I... (6 replies)

Fussy when eating?
May 28, 2007
... Hi everyone, I have a 3 week old son that used to eat no problem, but now sometimes when he's eating (a couple times a day, I'd say) he becomes very fussy, cries, and pushes the bottle (or nipple) out of his mouth. But when I take it away, he gives me all the signals that he's still hungry, while remaining fussy (sucking on his fists, clicking his tongue, etc.)! This never... (1 replies)

... new mommy, congrats. on the birth of your daughter. My son had problems like that for along time before we found out what was causing it.(reflux). On her more painful days try to wrap her tight in a blanket where she can't really move and just hold her, rock her or put her in the swing for awhile. This helped my son. They say that the heat build up helps releive the... (7 replies)
... Thanks for the tips. We switched to the Nutramigen formula last Wednesday morning and it has helped her be able to have more frequent bowel movements. She still has the gas, but at least it's productive now which has given her some relief. Expensive formula, but luckily we got a RX from the doctor and my insurance company covers it 100% (a lifesaver!!). She is still... (7 replies)
