... Honestly, I don't think there is anything you can do to make your child sleep through the night. My son started to sleep through the night at 4 months. Kept it up until 6 months and then just stopped. At 12 months he was back to waking up every 2 hours like a newborn. ... (3 replies)

... Hey Spanish, I'm sorry, I know exactly what your feeling. I don't think it's bad at all at this age to wake to feed before you go to bed. It's called a dream feed. You can do it for months, before they start to sleep through on their own, just make sure not to wake her when you do it. ... (12 replies)

... I don't think gayle meant in any way that you should starve your baby. I am sure her baby was waking from habit, and she was fine after a few minutes. My son does the same from time to time...he will wake up, and I'll give him five minutes. Usually he goes back to sleep on his own. ... (26 replies)
... I agree with most of mandy's points, but not all. Yes, breast fed babies typically do not sleep as well at night. I think that like she said, try to feed him a bit more at night. If he needs to nurse once in the night, I would say that is normal. ... (10 replies)
