... I agree with E. Liam is 18mo now, and his doctor actually told us that somewhere between 10-20oz. is fine per day. However I think that 10oz. is a little on the low side for only 18 months, so he gets 16oz a day (2, 8oz cups, one in the morning, and one before bed). ... I think if you are still offering breastmilk that it would be safe to start at a few ounces and slowly increase that. A lot of babies have sensitivities to cows milk at 12 months, and many moms find that their children don't take to it well until around 18 months. Which is fine. ... (8 replies)

... i started both of my daughters on milk at 11 months and they took to it really well, i didnt mix with formula i completely stopped the formula and just gave them more to eat, espcially things containing milk etc and they got on fine, but every child is diffrent so you will just have to see how it goes, as for the warming the milk, it also depedns on the child, my oldest didnt...
