Re: 2WW is over

Hi LM!

Election night was crazy! (At least for DH it was.) I didn't get to the hotel until 9:30 and then another woman who was checking in right next door to me started talking to me and didn't stop until 11! Now, I like to chit chat as much as the next person, but I was really tired and eventually I had to be sort of rude to get away from her - I felt bad, but I knew my DH was going to wake me up in the middle of the night and I wanted a little bit of sleep! DH did get in around 4am and then had to be back at work by 8am. I was really glad we got the room, if we hadn't he would have driven home, arriving at 5am, and then had to get up at 6am to get ready to go back to work! It is a part of his job to be there, and later on next week sometime, he will get to leave early to recoup some of the time he lost. I think it would be a real drag if he didn't enjoy it so much!

I am a type I diabetic, which means I have to take insulin to stay under control. When I was on the metformin it was just an extra drug to help facilitate the insulin getting to the cells. (I think they might have been hoping it would help me lose weight too.) I haven't taken it since we started ttc. I have an insulin pump which is really nice. I don't have to eat at certain times anymore and I have a lot more latitude with what I can eat. For example, if we are at a birthday party and my sugars are in good control (which they usually are) then I can take a small piece of cake and not have to worry that it will wreck my sugars. It is much nicer than just taking the shots used to be.

I am almost back to the start of another cycle and I think we are going to try one of our 3 remaining clomid cycles, assuming that my cyst is gone! I'll let you know!

It's nice that you and dh are on the same page, I think my dh and I finally are as well. Things seem to have calmed down this month and neither one of us is quite as obsessed as we were before. Maybe this break was a good thing!

How is your AHL team doing? Ours is not so hot, but we still root for them anyway!

Take care and I'll talk to you soon,
