I'm a newbie myself. We're very new (about 3 months) to this experience, but I have had a lap. so I can tell you about my experience. I actually had a blocked tube. So damaged in fact that they removed it. It was due to a ruptured ovarian cyst. The other tube and both ovaries are fine so my chances should actually improve b/c the other tube won't be messing things up. In general, I don't think the lap would have been too big a deal if it weren't for them removing one of my tubes. They had to make a bigger incision and do some extra "messing" around, but it was only that side that was very painful. The other 2 little incisions didn't hurt too much after that first day or so. I do know a girl that had a lap, which cleared out her tube and she got pregnant that next month with IUI! I hope you've found the right doctor. Keep us posted!
Carrie :)
