wow!!!:blob_fire :blob_fire

Congratulations!!!! Can I ask a question...when the dr. told you that your numbers were high and there was a possiblility for twins did he say what HCG levels are indicative for twins. At 14dpo my HCG was 296 and then 48hrs later is was 609. I go for my u/s also tomorrow but I have been wondering if there could be two also?

I wish you a happy healthy nine months!!! Congratulations mommy!

Hi Koukla!
Thank all of YOU!
Well, high # indicate that there "may" be high probabilities of twins, but it can also be only one. Mine was "395" at DPO 15 (my ER was 8/4, I guess we start counting from there... not sure tho) ... But I will ask my nurse today when she calls to make sure of my DPO day. I went for my second HCG test this morning.

Here is a table I found.

* At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml.
* At 15 DPO, the average HCG level is 59 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-147 mIU/ml.
* At 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml.
* At 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml.
* At 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml.
* At 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml.
* At 20 DPO, the average HCG level is 522 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 135-1690 mIU/ml.
* At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 324-4130 mIU/ml.
* At 22 DPO, the average HCG level is 1287 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 185-3279 mIU/ml.
* At 23 DPO, the average HCG level is 2034 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 506-4660 mIU/ml.
* At 24 DPO, the average HCG level is 2637 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 540-10,000 mIU/ml.

Twins or Higher Pregnancies
Twin pregnancies tend to show higher HCG levels on a given day of pregnancy. Twin HCG levels fall within the reported range of singletons, so, you can't assume anything based on the level alone. A higher level on a given day does increase your chances for twins, but there's no level above which you're guaranteed twins.

So we have to wait few more days and see. I will keep you posted.

Ok, I hope you guys can explain this.

I got a call from my nurse and she says that my HCG came at 1,278 and doing good.

ER: 8/4
ET: 8/9
BFP: 8/18 (Last Friday) HCG at 395.
BFP: 8/21 (today Monday) HCG at 1,278.

So at 48 hours later or 3 days later I am at 1,278.
I asked her what was my DPO day and she couldn't answer that question. She said she didn't know what that means.

However, she said:
1. I am 4 weeks pregnant
2. Due day is 4/28/07 (My yorkie's b-day is on 4/29. She will be 3!!)
3. No more blood work and one last sonogram on 9/8 and I will be released to my regular OB.
4. They still suspect that they are twins due to high numbers, but not sure.

Now, My question is, by the data I have given you above, do you guys know what DPO day was my past 395 and what is my DPO day for today at 1,278?

I don't' understand the 4 weeks pregnancy!!! Do you guys understand?
****

You know, I am starting to think that they counted after ovulation (DPO -Day After Ovulation), but I don't know when I started ovulation. I know my cycle with all the shots started on 7/21. This is confusing.
