Period After Lap
Feb 19, 2007
:dizzy: TMI but I started my period a week early. It is very heavy with many clots. Anyone who has had a lap before experience the same thing? I'm also wondering if the clots are the endo my RE tried to remove.

Also I'm starting to temp for the first time. Do you start 4 days into your cycle?

Also has anyone gotten pregnant after a lap?

Sorry for all the questions.
Hi, yes many people get pregnant after having a lap. Especially if they were able to clear out any endometriosis or anything else that may have been in the way of getting pregnant.

I know that after my hsg, laparoscopy, and endometrial biopsy I started my period early and it was definitely different than any other period. I know, I understand having all kinds of questions. This gets very confusing.

Also, about the temping, I always started a few days after my period started, I think it's mainly important to charts about a week before ovulation and then after of course to watch for the rise in temp as that is a sign of ovulation.

I hope that helps.

My first period after all of my laps was much heavier. I can't remember if it started early or not, but my doctors told me that the lap could definitely mess up my cycle, so not to worry about that.

Wishing you the best of luck - hoping we can add you to the list of people that have gotten pregnant after removing endo!!!

Hi I am new to this board. Just wondering if you get pregnant after a lap and your period never comes, how do you know when to test? This is happening to me.
