Twisted Ovary?
Mar 10, 2007
Okay, I am pretty sure I'm overreacting, but I was hoping you guys could help reassure me. My dr told me no exercise this month because I was on clomid, and stimulated ovaries are more easily twisted/ruptured. I have been following his orders. Well, I was throwing something away earlier, and the garbage was really full, so I pushed down on it pretty hard, trying to make everything more compact, and I felt a pulling pain on my right side, very low, in the 'female area'. It wasn't extreme pain, but it wasn't anything I could ignore either. Now about 1/2 hour later, I still feel kind of uncomfortable. Do you think I should be concerned? Wouldn't the pain be more severe if I had really damaged my ovary? I'm hoping I'm overreacting and it's nothing to worry about. I am also worried that maybe this cycle worked and I could've just ruined it. I really don't know what to think. Any ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated.

Hi Ravae, well I guess I'm okay then cuz I definitely still feel a bit uncomfortable. Funny that a little pain would be comforting. :) That is really interesting about the filled water balloon analogy. I never ever realized your ovaries could twist that easily when stimulated. I feel less silly for worrying about it now. Of course now I'm a little more concerned about twisting it in the future. There is NO WAY I'm going to get my BF to take over the cleaning duties. ;) I wouldn't be satisfied with his efforts anyway. He's a great guy, and he does take care of me when I need him, but the house is a different story.
