| My husband doesn't have low count, but he has low motility, so for our first IUI, we only had 5 million post-wash which my RE said was the bare minimum but you only need one. They know of women getting pregnant with 1 million or less. Well, it wasn't successful for us, and we were devastated. However, know the success rates aren't high with #1. It takes at least 3 cycles of IUI, so we are off for #2. RE's wouldn't have you waste time or money unless they thought there was a chance. I do believe that.
A friend of mine had IUI #1 with low count and only 1 follicle and got pregnant, so there are success stories.
The first IUI is nerve racking anyway. You don't know what to expect. Round 2 for us has been better. Even the injections are better. |
