I have heard that Clomid can correct a LH defect but am not totally sure that is accurate. Anyone else know on this? but nonetheless, if that is an issue for you, there are meds that you can take to correct the problem and help you maintain the preg. The biggest issue is that your progestrone level stays high to maintain the preg thru the first trimester. Your DR can give you supplements, such as Prometrium or Progestrone suppositories. Even if there is no LH defect, some people still use these. I for instance am on the progestrone supp, I start them the day after IUI and continue them until AF shows up.

Lots of luck to you and I agree, the lack of insurance coverage, really stinks.
