Snoopy. I have just been through my first attempt at ICSI (failed) and wish you the very best of luck. It wasn't so bad, just a rollercoaster of emotions and stressful. It affected my husband more than he let on. I am not sure of the drugs you use in the US, but here in the UK it is a few pills to start, sniffing every 4 hours (makes you irritable) and injuections once a day (makes you very tired). The egg collection was not too bad as I was asleep (I hope you get an anaesthetic in the US) and we don't get a practice collection here. The embryo transfer was also OK as I was asleep for that too! Anaesthetics are definitely the way forward. The two weeks after that will be the longest in your life and the most anxious/exciting. All in all, the experience was not pleasant, but not so bad I won't give it another go. GOOK LUCK
