Re: Glucophage and other meds

I´ve been taking Glucophage XR 2000mg daily for a year already and it has regulated my cycles, reduced all PCOS symptoms, and I lost a lot of weight. As far as I know, the glucophage will be a long term treatment as it regulates our insulin.

Some women get pregnant just taking gluco or metformin, others don´t. I got pregnant twice, but m/c at 5 weeks both times. My RE put me on baby aspririn and progesterone supp., but after 3 months he told me It was unlikely it would work...so he wanted us to move on to injectables and IUI or straight to IVF.

DH and I decided to try the alternative medicine route. Right now, I am on a 2 months break just taking some chinese herbs recommended by the Tradicional Medicine doctor that I am seeing. We should go back to the roller coaster ride of TTC next month.. :)
