Wannabemama I thought I would post again as feeling some better. Went to have bp check due to yesterday was up now today it is low. BP today was 108/85, yesterday it was 133/80 which was a normal high. My BP has never been high until yesterday. The dizziness finally let up an got to eat more this evening..

Here is what my Dh takes for low sperm count an etc.. This is what I've researched an is very safe for a male to take.

I've posted this before for others but some may think I crazy.. ;) LOL but yesterday I showed our new RE what DH is taking an he said that was great. Our new RE had me to add to list a new thing.

My DH first SA was only 3 million long with the poor movement an the morphology was 80% abnormal. When he went for his 2nd SA his count had came up from 3 to 6 long with his movement of sperm was a little better long with the morphology went from 80% abnormal to normal. His 3rd SA his count was 10 million with lot better morphology, and the movement too.

Hope this down below helps you all out too..

It is known that extra zinc is suppose to help the sperm to because each time the man goes the zinc needs to be added back to the body to help with the other sperms. It is also good to eat some oysters once a while to help with zinc intake. My DH multivitamins has L-Carnitine long with other things suppose to be really good to. My Dh takes Performance Energy for Men Multi+Daily Program. The Extra Vitamin C suppose to keep the sperm from clumby together.

It may take 3-6 months to see a improvement in his sperm..

I got my DH taking
Maca 2x a day
Vitamin C-1000 with Rose Hips 2x a day
Co-Enzyme Q-10 30 Mg Capsules 1x a day
Multivitamin for men 3x a day. DH was only taking 2x a day but RE said took more.
1000 mg fishoil 1x a day.

This is newly added to my DH list to improve stuff more on the sperm.
Acetyl L-Carnitine 4x a day.

Something that might help you.
Vitamins, minerals, water, and amino acids (proteins) all play very important roles in semen production. While that's an oversimplified list, these are the main ingredients that your semen is produced from.

Probably the best thing you can do to insure healthy semen production is to provide your body with good nutrition. You should try to have a decent low fat diet with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, "good" proteins, and plenty of water.

You should also take a daily multivitamin, which ensures that you're getting adequate levels of vitamins and minerals.
zinc: increases sperm cell production - can be found in lamb, oysters, fish
vitamins C, E: improves production and motility (swimming action) of your sperm cells
selenium: improves sperm motility as well as increasing sperm production
lycopene: found in tomatoes (ketchup, etc), a number of studies have shown lycopene might increase sperm count
water: probably the #1 restricting factor of low semen volume if you're dehydrated
L-Carnitine, L-Arginine: amino acids (proteins) that are needed for semen production
Saw Palmetto: a herb known to stimulate the glands associated with semen
Maca: a popular plant known to raise testosterone levels in men
Tribulus Terrestris: this well-known herb also increases testosterone production
Certain foods and a number of other things that you ingest will actually inhibit healthy sperm production. Countless studies have found that smoking lowers sperm count and motility, as can heavy or binge drinking.
stop smoking: smoking decreases male fertility and sperm count
no heavy drinking: excess alcohol consumption slows sperm production
avoid strenuous exercise: numerous studies have observed a decline in fertility when male subjects frequently experience overexertion
avoid hot testicles: a well documented correlation exists between heat and low male fertility, so try to avoid hot baths, laptop computers, sitting on heated seats, etc.
Just something I had saved to add.
Eat a natural foods diet that focuses on fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, fish, poultry, legumes, nuts, and seeds.
Drink 50% of body weight in ounces of water daily (e.g., a 150 lb man would drink 75 oz of water).
Eliminate processed and refined foods (e.g., white flour), junk food, sugars, alcohol, and caffeine.
Avoid saturated fats and hydrogenated oils (e.g., margarine); use olive oil.
Pumpkin seeds are naturally high in zinc and essential fatty acids which are vital to healthy functioning of the male reproductive system. Eat pumpkin seeds to help maintain a healthy reproductive system.
The following supplements may increase sperm count and/or motility.
Allow 3-4 months for the supplements to work.

Arginine - Take 4 gr daily. Needed to produce sperm. If the sperm count is below 10 million per ml, arginine probably will not provide any benefit.
Coenzyme Q10 - Take 10 mg daily. Increases sperm count and motility. Helps with DNA damage too.
Flaxseed oil - Take 1 tbsp daily. Is a source of essential fatty acids.
L-carnitine - Take 3-4 grams daily. Required for normal sperm function.
Multivitamin-mineral - Buy a high-quality product and take one serving size (differs from brand to brand).
Selenium - Take 200 mcg daily. Improves sperm motility.
Vitamin B-12 - Take 1000 mcg daily. A B-12 deficiency reduces sperm motility and sperm count. Even if no deficiency exists, B-12 supplementation may help men with a sperm count of less than 20 million per milliliter or a motility rate of less than 50%
Vitamin C - Take 500 mg 2 times daily. Is an antioxidant.
Vitamin E - Take 400 IUs 2 times daily. Is an antioxidant and improves sperms' ability to impregnate.
Zinc - Take 30 mg 2 times daily. Required for a healthy male reproductive system and sperm production.
Ginseng (Panax ginseng) - Known as a male tonic (an agent that improves general health) and used to increase testosterone levels and sperm count.


Good Luck Hun and keep us posted on how things goes.. Just a note it may take up to 3-6 months before see any improvement but give it time it does work..

Combined treatment with L-carnitine, a popular dietary supplement, and acetyl l-carnitine, a related chemical, appears to improve sperm motility in men with fertility problems.. Men who took L-carnitine and acetyl l-carnitine had increases in sperm concentration, forward movement, and total movement.

The most significant improvements in sperm motility, both forward and total, were observed in men who had the lowest levels of moving sperm.

Just thought would add this as what things can help with males..
