Thanks Jenn. These next 2 weeks willl be filled with alot of anticipation and hope. The nurses said we could do a HPT the day before my blood draw, but regardless of the result they wanted me to have the HCG level checked. They said the HPT only picks up levels above 25. I would think though if a HPT read negative and the level is below 25 that wouldn't be a very good sign the pregnancy took. I was curious if this is something you did prior to your blood test? I also wondered if you knew how long implantation takes after IVF? I did some reading last night and most sources (on the net) said 3-5 days after the transfer.

Jill, I wanted to say "Hey" and welcome. So glad to have you here. It sounds like your first cycle is starting off very well. I just finished my first ever IVF cycle, too. I didn't have the greatest stim and the doctors feel I'm one of those women that don't respond welll with the Lupron. If we need to do another cycle, the RE has already told us our treatment plan will change. I wish you the very best and lots of baby dust! Please keep us posted.

Hope to hear from you ladies soon. Have a great weekend
Littlebo congratulations for surviving the first 2 days of the 2ww. I had symptons right after transfer as well very sore bb no nasuea but super tired. I started to worry when they went away as the trigger shot left my system. I did hpt starting at 8 days after my transfer and got a positive every day until my beta(I know a bit obsessive) and my number at 12 days past my transfer was 257. Below is a description of how it works in a 3 day transfer.
**this is what happens in a 3dt :

**transfer day
1dpt ..embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt....Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt.. Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt.. Implantation begins, as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt.. Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt.. Morula is completely implanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt...Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt...More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt...HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on
This was super helpful for me and I hope you can use it. I am glad that you have things to do to keep you busy it is so hard not to obsess over each sign and syptom. I have my fingers crossed and am praying for a fast 2ww.
How is the waiting going Littlebo? I am glad that chart helped you I know that I looked at it a million times after my transfer. When do you test?
I did get my second test done today and just got my results and my number went up as it was supposed to and todays number was 1448. There are no more blood draws for me and I go in on 5-14-10 for my US.

YAYYYY!!!!! Ah, Jenn that is SO wonderful. I'm hanging in there with my wait. It's not been that bad. We actually were asked to come back on the 11th for our first HCG level. That's just next Tuesday. DH and I were talking tonight about doing a HPT on Sunday....Mother's Day. I'm wondering if that is a good idea though?
Jill, that's awesome! I'm so glad things went well w/your ER and can't wait to her more. I'll be praying that all 8 fertilize!!! Wow, you'll be going for your transfer in a few more days. I can only imagine how excited you are. All the best to you and your DH!!!

I wanted to let Jenn know I appreciate so much her sharing with me how she felt during her 2ww. I remember you mentioned that after a few days you weren't feeling any symptoms anymore. Well, I'm at that point. Yesterday I felt awful all morning. Felt like the flu; all tired and aching. A little queasy too. I got to feeling better by the afternoon/evening. Now, this morning I feel like I've not been through anything. It really had me a little bit worried. I'd rather be feeling some sort of symptoms than none at all. I keep looking at the 3dpt chart and for today if pg I'm at "Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining"

Yeah, I'll be doing a HPT before next Tuesday. I'm so anxious and excited to know. And like you said Jenn, I'd like to find out first at home with my DH so we can comfort each other either way the test turns out.

I'm also glad we have this board where we can share with one another and support each other! Everyone keep hanging in there and posting :) TTYS
