Provera And Clomid
Dec 13, 2002
I just recently went to the doctor and was told I had PCOS. He wanted to get my cycle straight and gave me Provera to take for 5 days, and after my cycle starts on the 3rd day take the Clomid for 5 days.I'm really worried about it because I've read alot of the topics in this web site and some of you are on the same meds. And are not having much luck. My husband And I have been having unprotected sex since we got married 5 years ago it's not that we were tring we just didn't worry about it.I just hope every one else who is on these same Meds. will be lucky enough to have children soon. This is my first round of this I know some of you have been doing this a long time. Please if anyone is worried about this to please let me know it would be nice to have someone to talk to about it. I have my husband and he is very supportive but he is steal a man and can't completely understand.
Thanks,
Sissyloo
Hi there! I was also put on Provera and Clomid. My doctor didn't say I have PCOS. I just don't get periods.

I was put on Provera for 5 days to get my period started. I am done with that now and got my period the other day. Monday I start taking the Clomid for 5 days. I am hoping that it will work on the 1st shot. Have to wait and see.

I wish you luck! *****BABY DUST*****

I hope you don't mind but I have been reading your messages and you and I have a lot in common. My doctor also told me I have pso I have had it for years and none of the other doctors could figure it out. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 3years know. From reading you messages I am a few steps ahead of you. I also had cervical cancer cells that had to be removerd. Thank goodness cervical cancer is a slow developing cancer most of the time it is usually cells not cancer. The cells will turn into cancer if not removed. The doctor did the cone surgery and I left the hospital that day as long as you do not have any funny side effects from the drugs they use to put you to sleep you will be fine. I was a little sleepy but I did not get much sleep for a few days before the surgeryso I needed the rest. I was put on clomid and prevera for about 4 months and when that did not work they wanted my husband to be checked next. They found out that his sperm levels were low and that was one of the reasons the clomid did not work. His doctor thinks a lot of it is in his head. A women can trick her body into thinking that she is pregnant and it is the same for a man. Mentally the man can bring down his sperm count. My best advise to you is you and your husband need to just relaxe and listen to the doctor and just love each other. A lot of couples going threw fertility issues end up letting it strain the relationship. My husband and I believe in God and I know that when he is ready for me to have a child I will have one and you will to. So just relaxe, be patient, and injoy this time alone with your husband because once a baby comes time together becomes hard to find. Also a bit of good news. A friend of mine had been married for 8 years before the doctors told her she could not have kids for a lot of medical reasons.(most of ours and then some)After 8 years they finally stoped trying. One day out of the blue almost a year later she went to the doctors and found out she was pregnant and had a beautiful baby girl named Trisha. Now 5 years and 2 more babys later (1girl Megan and 1 boy Jacob) they are one big happy family. I hope this helps
