... So glad to hear from you! I am sorry that you had a hard time with the surgery. That's amazing that they removed about 7-8 fibroids. Hopefully that will be the start of a good new year and hopefully you will feel better now that they are gone. My fibroid was about the size of a plum and it was inside my uterine cavity so they went in hysteroscopically to shave it off. It... (9 replies)
... Just had lap w/myomectomy and Stacy, I don't know if you remember talking to me but we had a lot of the same issues, w/surgery about a week apart and I just wondered how you are and how it all went. I had a hard time with mine and ended up in the hospital for a couple of days. They removed about 7-8 fibroids!! Hopefully I am on the road to recovery and the next step... (9 replies)
... One day at a time! I know a lap is much worse than what I had because I had one of those before too. But isn't it a good feeling to be moving forward finally. ... (9 replies)

... hey stacy, Good news that everything has healed nicely for you, that is great! At least now you have a few months where you don't have to visit the doctor all the time and can just relax and do some bd! Good luck! I haven't had the IUI yet. AF finally came and I'm on my last dose of Clomid tomorrow and blood work on Tuesday. After the results of the lab work we will know... (9 replies)
... Hey Stillwtg, just wanted to see how things were going with you. Have you had an IUI since your fibroid removal yet? I saw my doc last week and I had a post op office hysteroscopy to check out how things healed. He told me that everything looked completely and perfectly healed so that was such good news. It's about time. I thought he would have told us to do clomid + iui... (9 replies)
... I sure will! Good luck to you! Let me know how things progress! (9 replies)
... Well, we've already been trying for 4 years so it's about time that we get a little hopeful news. If I ever do get p.g. I'll be able to hold it over their head when they are bad saying "do you know what I went through just to have you" :D Just kidding! I know good things are in both of our futures. Be sure to keep me posted. (9 replies)
... That is great news! I hope you aren't trying long. I have a feeling my doc is going to try the same thing, clomid with IUI. That's what the plan was before the fibroid was found so I assume it's going to be that still. I can't wait. I really hope that we get lucky soon so we can share pregnancy stories. Maybe move over to the pregnancy board! Wouldn't that be so nice! ... (9 replies)
... Well, for the first time in awhile I feel like I may be starting to move forward and feel a little hopeful. Went to the dr. today and he thought I was healing fine and actually thinks we can start trying again soon. As soon as AF comes we will do AI/IUI (whatever) with Clomid. I was surprised he thought we could start right away, but pleasantly surprised. He thinks my... (9 replies)
... I know, isn't it nasty to think of all those fibroids in there?! yuck! All of mine were outside my uterus though. Yours was pretty big, huh? How was the surgery/recovery? How do you feel? I am so glad for you that they were able to get it all. The most frustrating part is now waiting AGAIN before being able to take the next step, at least I feel that way. I don't know... (9 replies)
... I had the laporscopy back when I had the myomectomy but dont really remember to much of it due the fact i was sleep. It started as a lap. then he had to do the myomectomy. Did it help? ... (20 replies)
Acupuncture ? ?

... Speaking of things happening for a reason... the weirdest thing.. I haven't seen it in a long time since before I was pregnant (then had a move) but just a little while ago came upon my 'yoga for fertility' tape in a box in my garage! I'd be happy to send it to you if you'll send it back when I go through my FET. ;) Is there a way to give you my email address w/out... (70 replies)
... If it makes you feel any better, I'm 35 (36 in a couple of weeks) have no kids and have been trying for almost 4 years. Going for Lap w/myomectomy on Wed. I too have bouts with wanting to just give up. But then I always hear about other people who are worse off than me and I do a reality check. It does happen, the people on this board are proof. Just hang in there. And I... (17 replies)
MTHFR Anyone?
Nov 25, 2003
... stillwtg, Hello. I had my 3rd miscarriage in September, so the docs ran a variety of tests. I tested positive for MTHFR A1298C, and negative for C677T. This is called heterozygous and is apparently good. If I was positive for both, it would be homozygous and not good. My risks for birth defects such as heart disease, spinal bifida, and down syndrome would be higher. I... (1 replies)
MTHFR Anyone?
Nov 21, 2003
... When I went for my first RE visit they ran all the "usual" auto-immune tests (whatever all of those are) and I came back positive for MTHFR. The person that called wasn't the nurse so she couldn't give me details and I'm waiting for a call today. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this? They said the treatment would be extra folate and after surgery (lap w/myomectomy or... (1 replies)
