... I did just recently. We had a failed IVF in June 2011. Our cause was Male Low Morphology and Motility but we still had a low chance of getting pregnant on our own. When the IVF failed however our doctor gave us very low chance and told us that we might have other inexplained factors. ... (3 replies)
... My Dh has low motility and I think normal morphology but I always wondered about that too. But, I did IVF with ICSI and they basically hand selected the best ones and gave me my beautiful daughter who has no problems. ... (1 replies)

... I can't answer your question either, but I wanted to say that you will get pregnant. There are many options out there when working with a clinic. My DH had testicular cancer and had no motility and low counts and we are currently 5 weeks pregnant after IVF w/ICSI. As the others mentioned, age is just one of many potential factors influencing fertility. You'll get... (3 replies)

... I don't know if this would help with morphology, but it's certainly worth looking into. Also, a few months back, one of the posters said her DH took Pycnogenal and it drastically improved his sperm. I think he might have had a problem with morphology as well, I just wish I could remember. ... (34 replies)

... I'm sorry you and your DH got bad news yesterday but I wish you luck with IVF. I haven't had to do this yet but my understanding is that motility and morphology help the sperm swim to and then penetrate the egg. When they don't have both the chances of that happening are very low. ... (14 replies)

... Hi everyone. Well, we've tried almost everything and it looks like it's time to pull out the big guns: IVF. Our doctor has said that she doesn't put much faith in IUIs in our situation (primary male factor: low motility, poor morphology and DNA fragmentation), and that with my seemingly hospitible environment we're looking at up to a 70% chance of success with IVF. That's... (7 replies)

DH and Sperm

... My DH's sperm analysis came back with a very low morphology (6%). They are doing anti-sperm antibody testing now. Has anyone else had this type of scenario come up? I have heard conflicting treatment options - my RE says IUI should do the trick (should happen this week) - but I have been reading that IVF is the only may to get around the antibody hurdle (if that is what the... ... I was at the RE today and because I only have 4 follicles and insurance is now 4 days before retrievel denying coverage we are doing an IUI instead of a IVF. ... (3 replies)
... I know it is so hard to wait for that next Dr's appointment, but I would want to hear what an RE says rather than a regular doc. Are you pursuing treatment or just starting to get tested? I had a friend with low counts and poor motility - he and his wife were able to conceive on their own (lucky them!). I had another friend with *very* bad semen results ( I don't know the...
