... Jennifer is right. It's the time from ovulation to the start of the period. It is usually the same number of days for each person, and usually lasts at least 12 days for most people. Those with luteal phase defect have a short number of days (usually less than 11) which can hinder egg implantation if it is fertilized because the uterine lining is already starting to shed. ... ... That depends on when you "O". The luteal phase is the time between you O and the time you get your next period. It should be a certain amount of days long but I forget how many, maybe at least twelve. ... (2 replies)

... good news my Dr. just said it was ok to take the prometrium throughout my whole lutheal phase I'm so glad because it scares me so much that what if I were to get pregnant and have not been taking it and I have another MC so I guess I'll start the prometrium tonight.....I'm so relieved. Hey girl! ok so when was your last period so I have alittle more to go off! but from what I did on the calendar (if your lutheal phase is 14 days) if your period is on the 14 you should start testing (ovulation test) around april 30 Thur may 4 if you period is the 19 then april 3 thru 7 and may 5 thur 9 i hope this I really hope this helps! also From my experience...
