... Cmarie, Well for the retrieval, you get general anestesia.You basically go to sleep and they have an anestesiologist (sp?) on hand. When I woke up, I had some mild discomfort/cramping but not too bad. I guess it could hurt more if they had a lot to take out or poked around a bit more. I think it depends. My cramping and soreness lasted a couple of days but I was still able... (9 replies)
