... for the test the doctor said fibroids may be the problem, but the Sonohystogram will tell more. We'll skip these month and do the IUI next cycle. If this fails, I hope it doesn't, IVF is our next step. We have a packet with all the info. ... (6 replies)
... I have been seeing a fertility specialist who attempted to do a Sonohystogram the other day without success. She was unable to get the catheter past the cervix. A letter sent to my obgyn stated that I have severe stenosis. ... (0 replies)
... Hello ladies, Thanks everyone for all the great information. I, too, have recently heard of states that mandate coverage for IVF, but now we know the truth and there are tons of loop holes. It is grossly unfair. My DH is military so we have government insurance, when I called them way back when our IF journey began, they said they only cover testing and diagnosis but no... (29 replies)
... Not sure if I can help or not, but my RE did mention that before a patient has IVF done, they like to do a sonohystogram to ensure that a cathedar can pass thru the cervix. ... (2 replies)
... Thank you both for your fast replies! I have read many posts on this forum and everybody seems to friendly and wonderful. In answer to your questions, I will be the one carrying the baby, and I have been working with a fertility specialist for the past month or so. Last week I had the HSG and a sonohystogram. Both came back perfectly normal, as did my blood work! This... (16 replies)

... ng things started very soon and I'm glad it's just a few more days for the bcp! As for the mock transfer, apparently they did my mock transfer when they did the sonohystogram with the saline. I didn't even know they had done it, until I asked about the procedure at my next appt. I remember during the sonohyst. ... (525 replies)
... My prolactin level was at 56. They said that wasn't extremely high. Has anyone else had elevated levels and taken meds for it? On a positive note, the results of my sonohystogram came back great and everything looks fine w/my uterus. Wonder how many non-IF people sit around worrying about their uterus! :) (2 replies)

... You can expect a little discomfort during, and relatively nothing afterward (if you take a couple of tylenol before hand). I had this test last month and it was much, much better than I expected. It isn't my idea of a fun afternoon, but it is completely tolerable. Don't worry! (5 replies)
... Hi there. I'm looking for insight on male factor fertility issues. I've had all the tests done (blood work, ultrasounds, sonohystogram, cycle monitoring) and everything looks optimal. My partner's quantity of sperm was good, but motility was around 30% (not horrible, but not great). All evidence points to this as our barrier to conceiving. I've got him on vitamins C and E,... ... Hi Norie. I had the same procedure done about 3 weeks ago. I expected the worst, but it was really not bad at all. It was very quick, actually. It was uncomfortable, but I took 2 tylenols an hour before, and I was fine. I think you'll be fine -- it's really nothing to worry about. (5 replies)

... Hi everyone, After three years of infertililty (mostly due to a huge fibroid I had removed in January) we are finally starting our first treatment cycle of Clomid + IUI. I had my base line ultrasound and blood work yesterday and it was a long day of just waiting to see if we could finally start the clomid or if there was yet something else wrong (last year when we were about...
