... What a horrible experience to have to go through. I'm so sorry. A tubal pregnancy can last longer than 8 weeks, but as time goes on, it grows so much it can rupture. I've read about cases of 8+ weeks tubals that ended in rupture. I'm sorry to say but it sounds like your situation could have been avoided had your doctor have been more thorough and kept a close eye on... (17 replies)

... As far as spasms showing tubal blockages, I have read that really only happens right at the entrance to the uterus, and that if the blockage is well up into the tubes near the ovary, it is more likely to be scar tissue from an infection or endo. ... (9 replies)

... Jayne, that is definitely a question you can ask your RE. I am the biggest baby when it comes to pain, so I too wanted to be knocked out during my HSG also. However, my RE told me that some patients have had bad experiences and he assured me that he could do it pain free.
