Monovision

Hi, I had Lasik 6 weeks ago and came out under-corrected. I consider this my opportunity to consider Monovison. Needing reading glasses is probably 10-12 years away, but it just seems like a good thing to think about. How does Monovison work? How much do they leave your weak eye under-corrected? Did you test with glasses/contacts before you had your surgery? Thanks for any insights. :)
