Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

First, it is pretty normal for one eye to be blurry while the other is pretty good. And, that can vary from day to day, hour to hour. Your eyes are going to heal at different speeds. One eye might be great one day and not so great the next. If you are really worried, go back to your doc and have him or her just take a look to make sure the flap is fine and there aren't any infections. Make sure to keep them well lubricated. In most cases during the first few months of healing, the lubricant may be just what you needed. It may not feel dry but be dry as a bone. Just give it a shot.
As for the white stuff, I can't remember how far post-op you are. Are you still using the anti-inflammatory and anti-biotic or whatever that stuff is that your doc should have given and prescribed to you after your surgery? If so, the white stuff is likely one of those drops. I can't remember which one but, I know one of them made me have white gunk after each use. If you aren't using those anymore, it may still be the lubricant. I use Refresh Endura and since it is a cloudy drop, I do tend to have some white crust in the corners of my eyes in the AM since, I basically just put the drops in my eyes and shut them for the night and before I get out of bed in the AM. I will usually not use a tissue to dab at any that may get on my eye lashes or around my eyes then since I want the most I can get out of the drops at night.
Just to be on the safe side, maybe you should go back to your doc just to make sure all is well. Better safe than sorry. In my opinion...what you are experiencing is nothing different than what I was.
Take care and keep us informed.
Thanks for the reassurance ;)
I have an appointment this afternoon with my doc. Im pretty sure everything is ok but its better that I rule out any infection or any other complication. I noticed that this morning it was better (still gunky but not blurry) This afternoon it started getting blurry again, so it may have something to do with the amount of time I spend on the computer. I use my drops every hour and sometimes every half hour. I can't wait until I get to the point where I dont have to worry so much. I only just stopped sleeping with my plastic shield last night. I had them on for 2 weeks instead of 1 lol. I guess I am just over protective of my eyes.

2 more weeks until I am able to go swimming!!!
