2 Weeks Post Lasik
Jan 29, 2007
I had lasik surgery 1-17-2007. The first night I got a wrinkle in my left (monovision) eye. It was repaired the next day and now 12 days later the Dr. says it looks great and I shouldnt have any problems. My distance vison is great but to read something I have to hold it about 10 inches from my face. Will this improve? The halo's are bad now also but I heard that would improve in a month or so. Im wearing reading glasses now in order to type this. But I feel great. thanks :dizzy:

I had lasiks a year and a half ago. The halo effect will get better. I only had it for a week or so. I was also told that depending on your age you may always need reading glasses. I notice now that I have real dry eyes. I'm always using eye drops. But it was worth it!

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I too had trouble seeing up close for the first two weeks or so. I had to put my laptop on my lap to see it, and I couldn't see the computer very well at work for a couple of weeks but after a couple of weeks it was fine and is no longer an issue, so it should get better and is normal from what I've read.
When I first starting wearing a monovision contact I didnt think I'd ever get used to it. But I fianally did. I didnt have the halo's like I do now. My vision improved a lot after the first 2 weeks so give it time. My near eye seems to be moving out a little each week and My distance eye seems to be coming in closer so I think this is going to work eventually.
