Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

| Hello,
I've been reading this board for the past week and thought I would post my experiences with intralase lasik.
I'm about 50/50 happy with the surgery so far but I've been having some issues and just hope that some things clear up. Just a little background:
I had some high astigmatism - I can't remember my prescription #, but I've been wearing glasses for about 20 years, and I'm 41 years old. Anyway, I've been thinking about doing lasik for a long time, and finally decided to take the plunge. After some research, and getting a couple of different consultations from reputable surgeons, I decided on the one where about 5 people at my work had gone to with great results. After surgery, my eyes burned and hurt for about 4 hours...I popped some valium and went to bed. As soon as I woke up, they didn't hurt any longer. The next day at the doctor I tested 20/30 in each eye and 20/20 in both eyes. It wasn't a crisp 20/20 but rather blurry...I wouldn't call it true 20/20.
My one week doctor's, I tested 20/40 in each eye and 20/30 in both eyes. I work on the computer a lot for work, so I've been having a really hard time straining to see the computer. It's a little blurry. I used the vigamox and some steroid drop for the first week after surgery as well as Restastis twice a day and Systane drops every hour.
Now it's 17 days, and I just can't get that crispness. I've been doing the drops religiously every hour and continuing with the Restasis twice a day. I've changed my computer font to the larges it could go, and that's helped with the straining in my eyes. It sounds like the healing process is somewhat prolong 3- 6 months on this, so I just hope I can get the crispness to come back. I'm guess at this stage I'm back to the blurry 20/20 vision. If anyone has any pointers or words of encouragement about the blurry/cripsness then I'd love to hear about it.
I'll keep posting my progress.
Cheers,
