Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

I had lasik surgery on one eye four days ago. So far I haven't been able to see far nor close. My prescription was -2.25 before the surgery and I also had some astigmatism. My distance vision is somewhat better than it was before the surgery but still very blurry. For example watching tv is difficult. I tried on my old eyeglasses but they make things even blurrier. My up-close vision is also very bad. For example I can't read a newspaper. I tried on my mum's reading glasses and they make things clearer. I'm 27 years old and my up-close vision was perfect before the surgery.

In my 1st day check up the flap was okay but there was some swelling. I'll have a second check up tomorrow. I'm putting on all the eye drops. My eye doesn't feel dry but I still use the moiturising drops every hour.

I'm wondering if all of this is normal. I've read many stories where people have fluctuating vision or regressing vision. Mine hasn't been clear at all after the surgery.

Who had you considered to do your surgery and who actually did your surgery? Would you say they were accurate in addression risks?
