Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

I started wearing a contact lens yesterday, just in my left eye. It's longsighted, with a prescription of +2, but my right eye has been compensating for it, probably for a long time, and I didn't realise there was anything wrong until I had to take some medication that made the problem more obvious and scared me into going for an eye test. I feel very strange and spaced-out, I've got a headache and I'm really struggling to read - I can read OK with each eye individually, but with both eyes open, text is blurry. Is it just a case of my brain adjusting to the lens and to the fact that it no longer has to compensate for my left eye, and if so, how long is it likely to take before I get used to the lens?
