Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

I had a Lasik operation one month ago, December 08. According to the doctor everything went ok, but i still have double vision in both eyes, especially in dark rooms. It's really hard to work in my computer since the letters and numbers seem to double and jump into each other. Reading is also still very difficult. One thing is strange: when i read something at daylight with plenty of sun, i can see properly, but inside a darker place, everything seems a bit unfocused, i.e., not sharp. My doctor says that i'm still going through the healing process... but i'm becoming a bit scared. Is this really normal? Does it take so long to see properly? I still haven't seen much improvement in the last weeks which is depressing me a lot. Hope someone can tell me something about it.
Guys, apparently you don't know this yet but having Lasik is a bad idea alltogether. I had mine three years ago. Bad night vision, dry eyes, reading problems and all that are part of post-Lasik life. I'm trying to start a conversation where people share tips like, what kind of eyedrops work best for severe dry eye symptoms, where to get them cheap. Tips on reading, working, driving and basically just getting along with life after your vision and your eyes' health is debilitated by a surgery.
It's been 2 months since i had my lasik surgery (12th December 2008). I must admit that i have improved my sight capabilities in the last 2 or 3 weeks now. But i still have problems focusing and seeing things in a sharp way. I went to another doctor who told me that i had developed some astigmatism, which is causing me these eye problems. He also told me that i had to wait some more months to see if this astigmastism disappears or not. Is he right? Should i be concerned with my state? Or should i wait peacefully?
Well... i must say that i'm a bit disappoint at my surgery! If i were to do it now, i wouldn't do it... for sure!
I feel so much better reading here and that I'm not the only one! I am still blurry after one month. I guess it takes a while to heal...I had no idea HOW long before I did this surgery! I have to constantly put in eye drops, or I can't see. I have an appointment on the 23rd, and i am hoping to get some answers to this. If I'm in a dimly lit room, I can barely see :(
