I've undergone PRK three times (was a nine diopter, had both eyes done in 2007, then the left redone in 08, the right was re-touched two weeks ago). Although it is quite irritating for a few days, it is well worth the pain, as I now have 20/15 in the left, and will have the same in a few months in the right.

With PRK they remove much less tissue relative to Lasik, which translates into being able to repeat the surgery if required. I was told that in cases where the patient is severely myopic, it was the method of choice. I agree.
