Husband Lasik Question

My husband had Lasik 3 days ago and can not see close up. He has to wear reading glasses and it clears up. He went to the doc and she said there was swelling and put him on the steroid drops hourly and an oral steroid and he is supposed to go in again in 4 days. He had pretty bad myopia...-8.5 or something.

Anyone have any experience in this??

His vision test showed 20/30 and 20/40 which improved after day 1 of 20/40 and 20/50.
