Overcorrection??
Apr 24, 2011
Anyone have any experience with the side effects of this problem?

I think I may be experiencing some problems with this. I am approximately 2 1/2 months post lasik and I have had a feeling of something being off with my right eye since day one. When I've gone in for appointments and have had my eyes tested, I can read the 20/15 line on the chart so I don't think it sends up any red flags to my doctor. That being said, it seems like I have a really hard time focusing with it and it just feels off from my other eye. There is a lot of blurring and some times it makes me feel a little dizzy. I know some who have been undercorrected say that when they put drops in it very temporarily causes their vision to improve. In my right eye, when I put in drops, for about 10-15 minutes, I have increased blurriness. Sometimes it actually seems like I see better out of it when it's a little dry. I also know that my vision decreases a little at night. Funny enough the problem with my right eye bothers me the least in darkness. I think I may have a little bit of light sensitivity too with my right eye. I went yesterday out to a movie for the first time since my surgery. I could see fairly well during the movie, but before it started when they were just showing random stuff on the screen and the lights were on just set on dim, it was absolutely unnerving. Everything was fuzzy.

I have been for my final follow up with my surgeon and I think he sees this as success because I can read the 20/15 line on the eye chart. He thinks that my right eye feeling off will go away, and he may be right. I have a hard time dealing with visual discrepencies. I am going to give it some time, even though that is really hard for me to do. But I've searched these forums and I haven't come across much on overcorrection. So I was wondering about some other peoples experiences.
