Lasik Eye Surgery Message Board

Lasik Eye Surgery Board Index

Hi Everyone,

I have just been reading some of the threads on unclear vision after lasik. I have had the Surgery on the 10th June and its now the 13th. I had astigmatism which was middle of the road with long-sight but the vision for me because of this is both bad near and far unless I squint so.

I am in the early days and can tell you that I went for a check up and had the contact lenses taken away. My vision is blurry still, not badly I mean I can read small print but from all the posts I have been reading it could be some time before it stablilizes?

I think what does not help is the surgeon who has performed on over 25000 people said to me that there was a small chance he would have to go over my eyes again due to the strong astigmatism. This has obviously concerned me with the fact that I am hoping the slight blurry look will vanish.

Whats also interesting my vision is clearer with the dark shades on? I will keep the updates coming over the weeks joining the help on this sensitive subject.
I had a micro lasik with custom wavefront on June 15, 2011. It has been 15 days and my vision is still very blurry, my left is blurry to the point that I can barely see, my right eye is also so weak that I cannot read either near or far, everything is just blurry. I think I had the same doctor with m1bud, he had done over 25000 customers (or whatever his claim is)

As of right now (almost after 3 weeks post lasik) I cant read book, cant use my computer, cant really do anything in my life with this vision, my eyes are both filled with red blood because of the broken eyes vessels during the lasik, they are still swollen and I had to take medication to get help with it. I think the eye-surgeon had really f&* up my eyes so bad. I have had a 1 day follow up, 1 week follow up, and a 2 weeks follow up and the doctor keep saying my vision will be improve *within the next few days*. I'm tired with all this bs, blurriness and I'm depressing about my situation. My family doesn't understand this and keep saying why I spent over 3000$ and get this half-blinded eyes.

I'll keep my post update for anything new.

Hiya there,

Read your post, poor you how are you feeling today? My eyes are still blurry but I dont give up hope and you shouldnt :d I have been reading many posts over the weeks and it can take up to 6 months for eyes to repair properly. Do let me know how you get on? Keep your eyes well moisterised I mean with me, it was 12 times a day with refresh drops and baby wipes to gently wipe the eyes. This is due to the drops causing a residue however also make sure you wear good shades (even if indoors?) if it gets too much to give your eyes a break? I will keep you updated but remember healing time just relax I know its hard and don't get down :-))
Ashley :-)
so, after a month and 1/2 post surgery, my left eyes could see a lot better but not quite "perfect" yet, things are still blurry a bit especially in low light areas. Mean while, my right eye is still very blurry (or nearsighted -3 or -4). I'm using the Refresh Plus non-preservatives drops crazy, at least 20 vials per day. About 70% of the red spots from the broken eye-vessels are gone, sometimes my eyes feel like very itching, I'm not sure it is from the healing or a side effects from the eyes drop?

That's it for now, I think the eyes drops have definitely helped out a lot. I'll update if anything comes up!
